With enough love, even the most broken souls can become whole again. Professional trainers, healers and veterinarians make sure that each dog receives only the best care.  But it is love, attention, a cuddle and play-time that is needed most.

And YOU are the perfect person for the job.

It’s difficult to describe the build-up of excitement in our kennels on Saturday mornings! Oh yes, they know, Saturday mornings is volunteer time! Where they get to play and snuggle and be pampered to their hearts content.

·       Relieves kennel stress.

·       Builds trust in humans.

·       Develops the social skills necessary for a successful adoption.

·       Takes pressure off our team and supports them in their work so that they can start the next week feeling stronger and more able to serve our dogs.

Of course, it can be a little sad when it’s time to say good bye but at least you leave knowing a few of our doggies are feeling happy and loved.  Your visit will fill their eyes with a special spark that will help them find a forever, loving home.

Volunteer Saturdays:  We are open every Saturday morning between 8:30 and 11:00am for dog walking, play time in the park, grooming and care!

3rd Saturday of each month: Pet World N1 City

You do not have to volunteer every month, and you will never be alone.  A Dassenberg member will always be there, we just need an extra pair of hands to help with answer questions, take the dogs for a short walk and tell everyone about the work that we do.

Can’t spare the time right now?  If volunteering doesn’t fit in with your busy schedule you can still be a Dassenberg Rescue Centre hero by making us your MySchool beneficiary.  It all helps and is equally appreciated!
