Rescued from on-going trauma

Meet Aloe, our latest resident to our rescue centre.   It’s cases like these that remind us of the important role we play in society.

Aloe has sustained damage to her spine, which caused pain down her back.  The pain was such that she chewed her own tail.  Unfortunately we have had to remove part of her tail, usually a thing of beauty on a German Shepherd.

Aloe will need further operations to try to repair some of the damage which was done.  We can only imagine the trauma she has sustained and hope that she will fully recover under our care.

Our Mission

Aloe is just one example of many.  We are on a mission to give hope, love and dignity to neglected, abandoned and abused domestic animals and to improve the lives of vulnerable people through healing, care and education.

Our Current Situation

Our rescue dogs and horses come from various backgrounds—abandoned, neglected, and sometimes abused. Because of the ever-increasing need out there we have increased our capacity to 60 dogs and 28 horses, but we have to manage our numbers carefully because the costs quickly escalate beyond our means to continue the work we do in a responsible manner.
