Marian High is an all girls school based in Clarkes Estate, an area of Cape Town that is notorious for gangsterism.

Its difficult to imagine how the learners and the teachers cope. Many of the windows have been bricked up due to security issues.  When loadshedding happens they are literally left in the pitch dark.

We were once again joined by Clever Kids Smart Dogs.  We feel this collaboration is beneficial.  The young CKSD’s trainers build confidence as it’s up to them to instruct the learners when it comes to dog training.

Some of the learners were very afraid of dogs when they arrived and it was impressive to see how comfortable  they soon became.

As part of our commitment to sustainability we run Vintage Sales.  Funds raised through our Vintage Sales help to keep our outreach project going.

We love the fact that our main fundraiser is in itself about sustainability.  We collect good quality second hand clothing, which is then sold.  Many of our clothes are brought in from overseas and so our sales have become well known for the fantastic brands we carry.
