From Desperate To Hopeful – Even Beautiful

There is always much excitement among the volunteers when one of our animals finds a home.  This could never have been more the case than with Daisy, this edition’s Cover Girl!

Unfortunately, some of our Rescues just aren’t good adoption candidates, the trauma they have experienced is just too deep.  We have many years of experience in animal rehabilitation and work continuously with our Rescues, even where there is little hope.  We would so appreciate any contribution you can make to help us provide food and medical care to these poor animals.  A pledge of R50 a month makes all the difference to us please!

Maties PAW Visit

In the Rescue Sector, good partnerships can make all the difference!

We are so excited about our new partnership with Maties PAW.  A group of 19 Stellenbosch Students from their organization visited us on 24 April and we are hopeful that this will develop into something wonderful.

The feedback we got from one such student was “I so enjoyed the chance to get out into nature and LOVED spending time with the dogs and the horses (and the donkeys are sooo cute) I can’t wait to get back”!

WCSJC Raises R4,120
Another good example of a Partnership that has made such a difference to us is the fundraising event West Coast Show Jumping Club undertook in support of our rescue animals.  At a recent show jumping event which was hosted at Europa, R4,120 was raised.  Thanks to Amanda Dick for taking the initiative, we so appreciate your help!   Amanda sold raffle tickets and even pledged the proceeds from a second-hand stall she ran on the day.

Successful Adoptions
A huge thank you to Sanél & Gary for giving both Daisy and Malachi a home.  It’s especially good to know that they will have each other for company! Just look how happy and comfortable they look together in their new home!
