VOLUNTEER WITH HORSES

Thank you for contacting us about volunteering at Dassenberg Rescue Centre, it’s great that you want to help us do what we do best: rescue/rehabilitate/rehome! By completing the volunteer application form below, you will be considered for a spot on our volunteer program. Each volunteer’s duties will depend on the experience you bring and the amount of time you are willing to commit. These are an outline of the roles you may be asked to fulfil as a Horse Volunteer:
GROOMERS
Your job is to help groom, de-tick and give as much TLC to our horses as possible. Please ensure any borrowed grooming kits and/or halters are returned as you found them.
ASSISTANT TRAINERS
You are your trainer’s right-hand man. Your job is to shadow your trainer, learn as much as you can and help out with whatever your trainer needs you to do.
TRAINERS
You will be responsible for facilitating both the training of your designated horse/horses as well as your designated assistant.
